Bowtie is a free application that allows you to control iTunes via a stylish album cover art desktop controller. It submits your songs to Last.fm and sports a very simple, yet very powerful, html5 + css + javascript based theming system.
It's look and functionality is extremely customizable. It provides system-wide hotkeys for skip forward, back and play/pause. Depending on the theme you have loaded, the interface can provide cover art and song info, star rating controls and clickable buttons for basic playback control.
